e.g :
- Fitri can speaks Japanese, English and Bataknese

- Rudy can be so nice (can + be + adj.)
2. Possibility
Speculating => opinion without asking based on the facts
e.g :
- Nisa can be tired => Present
- Rio’s mom can be watching now => Continious
- She can work in a bar
3. Give/Ask Permission
e.g :
- You can write with pencil
(give the pencil)
- Can/May I write with pencil?
(Ask)

COULD  
1. Ability => Past
=> Something you get easily
e.g :
- Fuad couldn’t play hopscotch in his childhood
- Fuad could climb the mango tree
2. Possibility
Speculating => present
e.g :
- Nisa could be tired
3. Give/Ask Permission
Polite = sopan
e.g :
- Could I talk with Mr. Smith?

BE ABLE TO
Same the meaning with “can”
=> Not use for spontan

Past                 => was, were
e.g :
Present ;
- Fitri is able to speak Japanese, English.
- Fitri and Eva aren’t able to speak Japanese and English.
Past ;
- Vian dan Try were able to read backwards.
